Alien Swarm

Alien Swarm is an overhead shooter game released by Valve on Steam for free. Originally, this game was actually a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004, but Valve decided that it was good enough to warrant a new stand-alone game. They hired the developers of the original mod to create it. The gameplay is exactly the same as in the original, but the plot is different, as well as specific aspects of the character progression and customization.

Our rating is based on the Unreal Tournament 2004 mod version of Alien Swarm, called Alien Swarm 2K4. The Steam version is a little less gritty and less deep. A full review and new set of ratings will follow once we replay the Steam version of the game.
