Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II: Retribution - The Last Standalone
Dawn of War II: The Last Stand is a game mode for Dawn of War II. It was also eventually released as a standalone game on Steam. In it, you control a single commander unit and use your abilities to survive 20 waves of increasingly difficult enemies. As you play the game, you slowly level up your hero, which unlocks new equipment. New equipment gives you access to boosted stats and additional abilities. Currently, you can choose from seven races (Space Marine, Ork, Eldar, Tyranid, Chaos, Imperial Guard, Tau). Each race has a specific hero that you play as when you choose that race.
